The research developed here has as its theme the analysis of Angela Davis's theoretical elaboration and political action, articulating their relations in order to think about the possibilities of social emancipation in the author’s view. The main objective of this dissertation is to examine her main works, showing the theoretical contributions given by the author in the debate on social inequalities, the critique of capitalism and the challenges and potentialities of feminism, considering the socio-historical and academic contexts that influenced her bibliographic production.
